Hello, busy bees! My Baked Chicken Parmesan Recipe is one of our family favorites, and there was one time when things got a little too exciting in the kitchen. It was a busy weeknight, and I was trying to multitask while preparing dinner. I was also helping my daughter with her homework while checking on the chicken in the oven.
Suddenly, I heard a loud noise and turned around to see my husband running frantically around the kitchen. He had accidentally knocked over the container of breadcrumbs, and they were now all over the floor! We all started laughing, but I knew I had to act fast. 😅
I quickly scooped up as many breadcrumbs as I could salvage and mixed them with some parmesan cheese. I used this mixture to coat the chicken, and to our surprise, it turned out even better than before! The breadcrumbs and cheese gave the chicken a unique and delicious flavor that we all loved.
From then on, we always joke about the time when we had a “breadcrumb disaster” in the kitchen. 😆 Give this chicken recipe a try and let me know what you think in the comments below! Happy cooking, busy bees.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of marinara sauce
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to coat it well on both sides. Place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and the breadcrumbs are golden brown. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and spoon a generous amount of marinara sauce on top of each chicken breast. Sprinkle with a little extra parmesan cheese, if desired.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is hot and bubbly.
- Serve the chicken with your favorite pasta and a side of garlic bread for a delicious and easy dinner that your whole family will love. This recipe is also great for meal prep, as the chicken can be made ahead of time and reheated when needed.
