Hi, busy bees! Have you ever watched Anime and wondered how the food that some of the characters eat tastes like? Well, that’s when an idea came to my mind: why not recreate some of the food from the show and surprise my daughter? Today, I am excited to share my Japanese Curry Recipe with you all, hoping that it brings the same joy and warmth to your homes. 🍛

To start with, I peeled and chopped the onions, carrots, and potatoes into bite-sized pieces. With the garlic minced and ginger grated, I was ready to infuse their flavors into the curry.

In a large pot, I heated some oil over medium heat. Once it was hot, I added the minced garlic and grated ginger, filling the kitchen with their enticing aroma. 🧄 Next, I tossed in the chopped onions, sautéing them until they turned translucent and slightly caramelized. 🧅

After cooking the onions, I added the meat (either beef or chicken) to the pot, allowing it to brown on all sides. Then, I tossed in the chopped carrots and potatoes, giving everything a good stir.

To create the flavorful curry sauce, I poured in the vegetable or chicken broth, ensuring it covered the ingredients. I brought the mixture to a boil and then reduced the heat, letting it simmer. 🍲

Once the vegetables and meat were tender, it was time to add the curry roux blocks. I broke them into small pieces and added them to the pot, stirring until they completely melted into the sauce. The curry thickened, taking on a rich, velvety texture.

I allowed the curry to simmer for a few more minutes, letting all the flavors meld together beautifully. The irresistible smell wafted from the pot, teasing our taste buds. 😋

With excitement, I ladled the fragrant Japanese Curry into bowls, making sure each serving had tender meat, vibrant vegetables, and plenty of sauce. A sprinkle of chopped green onions added a pop of freshness.

Finally, it was time to savor the fruits of my labor. My husband and daughter eagerly grabbed their spoons, ready to dive into the steaming bowl of Japanese Curry. I highly recommend trying this Japanese Curry Recipe for you and your family. Happy cooking and happy eating, busy bees! 🐝
