Welcome, busy bees! My family and I absolutely love chips. Whether it’s watching a movie, playing games, or even working, we can’t resist grabbing a snack or two.  One day, while strolling through the grocery store for groceries and chips, I suddenly realized that why not just make my own potato chips. The idea of making homemade chips in a healthier way instantly intrigued me, and I knew I had to give it a try. So today, I’m excited to share my Air Fryer Potato Chips Recipe with all of you!  🥔

With the air fryer ready and waiting, I carefully placed the potato slices in the basket, knowing that the magic of the air fryer would work its wonders. The anticipation grew as the potato chips started to cook, transforming from pale slices into crispy, golden delights.

Finally, the moment arrived. I removed the basket from the air fryer, and the sight of perfectly cooked potato chips brought a smile to my face. Crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside, they were everything we had hoped for. 😍

Ingredients:

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Wash and scrub the potatoes to remove any dirt or impurities.
  2. Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, thinly slice the potatoes into uniform rounds. Try to make them as thin as possible for a crispy result.
  3. Place the potato slices in a large bowl of cold water and let them soak for about 30 minutes. This will help remove excess starch and ensure crispier chips.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
  5. Drain the potato slices and pat them dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  6. In a separate bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, ensuring each slice is coated evenly.
  7. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
  8. Sprinkle salt over the potato slices, adjusting the amount to suit your taste.
  9. Place the basket in the air fryer and cook the chips at 400°F (200°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Flip them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.
  10. Once done, carefully remove the air fryer basket and transfer the chips to a serving plate.
  11. Let the chips cool for a few minutes before serving. They will become even crispier as they cool down.
