Ingredients:
Burger patties:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 3.5 cups sliced mushrooms
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp flour
Gravy:
- 3.5 cups beef stock
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into patties and cook them until they’re browned and cooked through.
- In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté the sliced mushrooms until they’re tender.
- Add flour to the mushrooms and cook for a minute or two. This creates a roux for thickening the gravy.
- Gradually whisk in the beef stock, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Keep stirring until the gravy thickens.
- Season the gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mushroom gravy over the cooked burger patties.
