Marry Me Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Dredge each piece in flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. Melt the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Don’t crowd the pan, cook the chicken in batches until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened. Add the oregano and thyme, letting them release their fragrance for a few seconds.
  4. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for a minute, scraping up any browned bits. Then, add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy. Add the chicken back to the pan and let it simmer for another 5 minutes, or until cooked through.
  7. If you’re feeling fancy, stir in the sun-dried tomatoes for a burst of tangy sweetness.
  8. Plate the chicken in the creamy sauce, garnish with fresh basil, and enjoy!
